Message	For a head unit to have a true balanced out put, it needs to have a separate ground for the signal section and the power section. Additionally, it needs to have a connection for the signal ground to the cable shield. Much like the phono ground connection on turntables. The Symbilink referenced above does just that. I tried looking for more info on the 8053, but it's so old that it's not even listed in the 2005 catalog. Bottom line: if the signal is transmitted on regular RCA's, it's not balanced.
